First rejection

Eve White weren't interested in 'The Lighthouse'. Standard rejection email.

In the mean time, I've skipped through one of the 'Mr Gum' books by Andy Stanton (who is represented by Eve White). The narrative voice is very different to that which I used initially, so I think a big re-write of this and the other two stories is required if I'm going to get them published.

Like the Inspiral Carpets said, "No-one ever said this was gonna be easy."

First submission done

I submitted 'The Lighthouse', the first Heather, Scribble and Grunt story, this evening. I sent it to Eve White Agency. An agency because I have no idea which publisher to go to. Eve White has Andy Stanton on her books - he writes the Mr Gum books which I ought to get hold of and read.

The next two are still in progress. 'The Moon' ought to be better than I think it is. Need to find a spark or a new McGuffin or something to make it work. 'Bees, Pigs and Carrots', on the other hand, I am much happier with. Need to finish them both, though.

Next is to decide where they go next and get 'Sugar' sorted.
